Baby Training

Today, Kira, our senior practitioner in our Baby room, participated in training with the NDNA* around ‘The Power of Play’.

Research shows how rapidly babies’ brains development, with synapses transmitting information between neurons and allowing our littlest people process experiences and make connections and learning, learning aaaaalll the time.

According to the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2024), at least half of all staff must have received training specifically around the care of babies, and the senior (or room leader – what’s in a name?!) must have suitable experience working with the age group.

Safe to say, many children’s first word sounds a lot like ‘Kira’! Kira’s main takeaways from today’s course were around treasure baskets, heuristic play and cognitive development.
